Waiting on Wednesday: Vol. 20

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The weekly event is meant to showcase eagerly anticipated upcoming releases…and to spread the word! This week I’m excited about:

16096824Title: A Court of Thorns and Roses

Author: Sarah J. Maas

Genre: YA, F

Publisher: Bloomsbury Children’s

Anticipated Publication Date: May 5, 2015

When 19-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it … or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

Check out the newly released cover for  A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES! Oh, Sarah J. Maas. The cover gods have been good to you. This one is being touted as a darkly romantic retelling of Beauty and the Beast combined with classic Fae lore…total Danya catnip. I want it!

  1. I love this cover, I saw it last week and it makes me want to read this. Great choice! I haven’t read her other books, but I know I’m like the last person on the planet.

  2. I learned about this book from stumbling on another WoW last week. Yes, I want! The just so slightly older target audience is probably what makes me want to read this the most, though I’ve been enjoying her Throne of Glass books.

  3. This cover is so gorgeous! I feel strangely conflicted about the blurb and I think I’ll wait to see what friends think of it before giving in to the pretty, but I’m excited for the new series potential 😀
